Is it bad to wear daily contact lens if im only 14 ?

Published by admin under daily contact lens

I am 14 and I really want daily contact lens…only temporary daily ones not the permenant ones…I would only wear it for going out to parties and playing sports
You’re in exactly the same situation as me. I’m 14 as well. The only difference is I have just started wearing them. About 3/4 weeks ago I think, I use the daily ones (Focus Dailies). I only use them for sports and special occasions though. They are great, it’s like a whole new world. And as long as you’re mature enough to use them responsibly and know how to care for them, there is no age limit for when to start wearing them. So no, I don’t suppose it is ‘bad’ to wear contacts if you’re only 14.

is it true that people younger than sixteen can’t wear contact lenses that change your eye colour?

Published by admin under daily contact lens

I’m thinking of getting contacts but I’m only 14. I heard somewhere that people under 16 cant get the eye colour changing contact lenses and I’m wondering if thats true… thanks for everything.
yeah its true, Nothing will happen, it doesn’t matter if your 16, 20, 10. I got my contacts at the age of 11. Also when you wear contacts your head tends to hurt alot.bUT You’LL get used to it (: Hope this helped.

Which is the best daily wear contact lens?

Published by admin under daily contact lens

For a daily contact lens You might want to ask your eyedoctor, but I would try Acuvue if I were you. They have all different kinds. The Acuvue website is: http://www.acuvue.com/.

Daily Contact Lens Eye Health

Published by admin under daily contact lens

Most young people in their twenties and thirties, enjoy excellent 20/20 vision, which of course may come with the help of a daily contact lens.

The good news is, if you’re doing the right things to help take care of your eye health, then there is a good chance your vision will stay at the same for many years to come.

The most important way to protect your vision is through a regular examination with your professional eye doctor, especially if your family has a history of; diabetes, blood pressure, eye disease, poor vision or diabetes.

Eye health basics

Eating a balanced diet and getting enough rest are important for white eye health and remember to take extra care when putting on cosmetics and sprays, especially with a daily contact lens

Exercise is great for the circulation, which improves oxygen levels to the eyes and the removal of nasty toxins.

Use good sunglasses to block out UV and UVB light and it is always best to try and quit smoking as research seems to increase the risk of developing eye conditions

Pregnancy and vision.

Pregnancy can cause changes in your eyesight.  The thickness of your cornea can change with your Hormone levels and cause temporary blurring. If you wear a daily contact lens, you may find that your eyes are uncomfortably dry during your pregnancy and you may need additional vision correction for a short period.  The good news is that your eyes will return to normal shortly after your baby arrives
