Is it bad for your eyes to get no prescription contacts without getting your eyes sized?

Published by admin at 4:57 pm under contacts without prescription

just curious, I see a lot of fashion stores selling "generic" color contacts(no prescription/magnification whatever) is it bad for your eyes to wear these color contacts? i know everyone’s eye shape is different so just curious how would that work?
nope they don’t charge a "fitting fee" they’re in a stand and they come in little boxes lol… i’ve had my eyes fitted for color contacts before so that’s why i was suspicious of getting color contacts without getting fitted for them.

read this from consumer reports. If they are in the US, what they are doing is illegal.

Very bad. Everyone needs a prescription and in most states it’s illegal to sell even fashion contacts without an Rx, you can really do harm to your eyes.

I’m pretty sure they have to still charge a "fitting" fee, which amounts to the same thing. Part of that is also teaching you the importance of cleanliness to avoid infection.
