I had a prescription of -5.00 in one eye and -5.75 in the other with slight astigmatism. I had been wearing glasses for 21 years and contacts for 18 years. I couldn’t see anything or do anything without my contacts or glasses.

I didn’t feel anything or experience any pain during surgery. Surgery was very quick. Vision for the first few days was a bit blurry but by the about the 4th day everything starts to become clearer. During the first 4 days post-op I didn’t experience any pain and there was hardly any period of being uncomfortable for me. It is now a little over a week and my vision is much better and continues to improve daily. I still can’t believe I don’t have contacts in and can SEE!!! I’ll be able to Snowboard, go to the gym, and do all sorts of physical activity without the hassle of contacts.

On September 17, 2008, Dr Emil Chynn of Park Avenue Laser Vision in Manhattan performed LASEK surgery on both of my eyes. I had a prescription of -3.75 in both eyes. I had been wearing glasses for 14 years and contacts for 8 years. I couldn’t see anything or do anything without my contacts or glasses.

The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I didn’t feel anything or experience any pain during surgery. Surgery was very quick. Vision for the first few days was a bit blurry but by the about the 4th day everything starts to become clearer. During the first 4 days post-op I didn’t experience any pain and there was hardly any period of being uncomfortable for me. It has now been 2 months since my surgery and my vision stands at 20/15 which is the best vision possible, better than 20/20. I still can’t believe I don’t have contacts in and can SEE!!! Hi I’m Christine and I had my surgery almost two weeks ago and at first I was nervous abut the decision because mainly its my eyesight and if something would have happened and the procedure didn’t go well, I was worried that it would be something that couldn’t be corrected. But everything went wonderfully I couldn’t believe how well I was seeing. Even later that day after the procedure, my vision was quite bad before and now I’m seeing better than 20/20 and it’s amazing. It’s amazing to not need to wear contacts or glasses or have to think about prescription sunglasses or anything like that. I still think I have to take my contacts out sometimes and I’m realizing that I don’t have to. Its such a wonderful feeling to wake up in the middle of the night and see where I’m going, see the clock just wonderful things like that. In terms of my lifestyle I have children who play golf so were on the golf course a lot. Being outside it was always the sunglasses, prescription sunglasses, contacts having to worry about that to keep my eyes out of the sun and its so much easier now and I can see on the golf course so much better without having to wear any kind of correction so its just made things so much easier and its feel one of the best decisions I ever made.
